Bogotá, Colombia – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today traveled to the Colombia-Venezuela border with U.S. Ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS) Carlos Trujillo and Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart (R-FL) to see first-hand the ongoing humanitarian aid program spearheaded by the United States through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). At this crucial time in the Venezuelan humanitarian crisis, the Venezuelan military has a moral duty to stand in support of their people’s struggle and allow international aid convoys to enter Venezuela. Rubio is Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights, and Global Women’s Issues.
