Senators Coons & Rubio To Unveil Bipartisan Jobs Bill With Steve Case
Washington, D.C. – Tomorrow, U.S. Senators Chris Coons (D-DE) and Marco Rubio (R-FL), along with President’s Council on Jobs & Competitiveness member Steve Case, will announce bipartisan legislation to encourage job creation. The American Growth, Recovery, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Act, or AGREE Act, is the product of identifying areas of common agreement between the President’s jobs plan, recommendations from the President’s Council on Jobs & Competitiveness, and jobs plans put forward by both parties in the House and Senate.
“The AGREE Act is a genuine bipartisan effort to put politics aside and achieve some real job-creating measures that will help put people back to work,” said Coons and Rubio. “We are proud of this effort to take ideas we all mostly agree on and make the case to our colleagues and to the American people that these deserve immediate action. We look forward to working together to get more people to agree that The AGREE Act should become law.”
