Rubio Will Force Action on Pipeline Permitting Reform
President Joe Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) promised to pass pipeline permitting reform later this year if the Democrats’ $749 billion climate and tax bill becomes law.
Under budget reconciliation procedures, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) will submit an amendment to require the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources expedite the permitting process before the reconciliation bill can pass the Senate.
- “The activists in the Democrat Party are not going to sign off on making it easier to develop America’s energy resources. These people literally believe the earth is melting and we’re a decade away from extinction.

Rubio previously warned Democrat leaders would not honor their agreement to pass pipeline permitting reform.
Looking forward … Rubio will submit an amendment to the reconciliation bill to put Democrat leaders on record for opposing the pipeline permitting reform they promised to pass.
