Rubio previously spoke on the Senate floor to urge state officials to pardon “the Groveland Four.”
“After 70 years, it was past due for Florida to pardon the Groveland Four. While there is nothing we can do to right the terrible wrongs committed against them, I am pleased to see that the state of Florida is giving these men back their good names and seeking the forgiveness of their families for this grave injustice.
