Rubio Thanks Congressman Ander Crenshaw For His Service To Florida
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement today regarding the announcement by Congressman Ander Crenshaw (FL-04) that he will not to seek re-election:
“Throughout his career in public service, Ander Crenshaw has represented the people of Florida with honor, distinction and results. When I was just starting to get involved in politics, I proudly volunteered for his campaign for governor and have many fond memories from that time. He’s fought hard to make sure our military remains the preeminent force in the world and is always prepared to defeat the national security threats against our people.
“Ander has been a true champion of our military men and women, particularly those who have served at military installations across the Jacksonville region throughout his career. Eventually, the goals of increasing our carrier fleet, rebuilding our Navy and bringing a nuclear aircraft carrier to Jacksonville will be achieved, and it will forever be an important part of Ander Crenshaw’s legacy.
“For the past five years, it has been an honor to serve with Ander Crenshaw in Washington, representing our constituents and working on the many important national security issues facing our nation. I wish him and his family the best as they begin the next chapter of their lives.”
