Rubio Renews Call for Bob Levinson’s Immediate Release

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement calling for the immediate release of Florida constituent, Bob Levinson, the longest-held hostage in American history. Last week, President Donald Trump highlighted Levinson’s case after Iran indicated for the first time in over a decade that “he may be in their custody and that authorities are pursuing a case against him.”
 
“The United States has a moral duty to ensure that every American hostage is brought back home. While Iran finally acknowledged Bob Levinson’s disappearance, the regime in Tehran must take concrete steps to safely return of Levinson and other American hostages held in Iran,” Rubio said. “The United States must continue to pressure the Iranian regime and hold those responsible for Levinson’s disappearance accountable.”
