English/Español: Rubio Praises Trump Administration’s DED Designation for Venezuelan Nationals in U.S.
Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) welcomed President Donald Trump’s decision to grant Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) to eligible Venezuelan nationals currently in the U.S. Rubio has repeatedly advocated for a temporary solution for Venezuelans who cannot return home due to safety concerns. In addition to introducing the Venezuela Temporary Protected Status and Asylum Assistance Act of 2019, he also urged POTUS to exercise his constitutional authority to conduct foreign relations and grant DED to eligible Venezuelan nationals currently residing in the U.S.
“The Trump Administration has taken a significant and much-needed step to help Venezuelan nationals residing in the U.S.,” Rubio said. “Venezuela remains a nation in crisis as Maduro’s narco-terrorist regime continues to commit senseless acts of violence against the Venezuelan people. America remains a beacon of hope and freedom for many, and now eligible Venezuelan nationals in the U.S. will receive much-needed temporary immigration relief thanks to the Trump Administration.”
Rubio is the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights, and Global Women’s Issues.

RUBIO APLAUDE DESIGNACIÓN DE LA ADMINISTRACIÓN TRUMP DE OTORGAR DED PARA VENEZOLANOS EN EE.UU.
Washington, D.C.
