Rubio Names Bayshore Fit of Florida as the Senate Small Business of the Week
Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, named Bayshore Fit of Tampa, Florida as the U.S. Senate Small Business of the Week.
Rubio released the following video message to congratulate Bayshore Fit as the Senate Small Business of the Week. A broadcast quality version can be found here.
“Hello, I’m Senator Marco Rubio, the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
“And today, it’s my honor to recognize Bayshore Fit of Tampa, Florida as the Senate Small Business of the Week.
“When Beth Scanlan and Jeff Fink founded Bayshore Fit in 2012, they set out not only to create a gym, but a community.
“As they have grown, Bayshore Fit has kept their focus on helping each client attain their unique goals and lead healthier lives.
“Jeff and Beth are committed to their local business community, and are members of both the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce and the Westshore Alliance.
“Like many of Florida’s small businesses, Bayshore Fit needed to close its gyms due to the public health closures earlier this year.
“Bayshore Fit was approved for a Paycheck Protection Program loan, a small business relief program that I was proud to be the author of.
“As a result, they were able to keep their employees paid until gyms across Florida reopened.
“Thanks to the PPP Program, Bayshore Fit is able to once again open its doors, taking the health precautions necessary to keep their community of clients and employees safe.
“So Congratulations to Beth, Jeff, and the entire team at Bayshore Fit for being named the Senate Small Business of the Week!
“I look forward to seeing your continued success.”
