Rubio, Menendez, Kaine Introduce Senate Resolution in Honor of Bicentennial Anniversary of Peruvian Independence

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL), Bob Menendez (D-NJ), and Tim Kaine (D-VA) introduced a Senate Resolution commemorating the 200th anniversary of Peru’s independence. The bipartisan Resolution celebrates the many achievements and triumphs of the Peruvian community and the strength of the United States’ relationship with Peru, which is rooted in the countries’ shared commitment to democratic principles and freedoms. 

Rubio is the Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights, and Global Women’s Issues.
