Rubio Continues Fight Against Human Trafficking, Meets with Victims & Jada Pinkett Smith
Washington, D.C. – Earlier today, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) highlighted the human trafficking problem during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing focused on the fight against this modern day slavery over the next decade. During the hearing, Rubio condemned Village Voice for facilitating human trafficking and also stressed the importance of treating human trafficking survivors as victims instead of criminals.
Rubio later met with human trafficking victims and actress Jada Pinkett Smith, an anti-trafficking advocate who founded the non-profit Don’t Sell Bodies.
