Rubio, Colleagues Introduce Resolution Protecting Second Amendment
Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced a Congressional Review Act (CRA) joint resolution of disapproval (S. J. Res. 45). The CRA would prohibit the U.S. Department of Justice from implementing a new rule that would expand the definition of a firearm and establish a national gun registry.

Providing for congressional disapproval under Chapter 8 of Title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives relating to “Definition of ‘Frame or Receiver’ and Identification of Firearms.”
Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
That Congress disapproves the rule submitted by Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives relations to “Definition of ‘Frame or Receiver’ and Identification of Firearms” (87 Fed. Reg 24652 (April 26, 2022)), and such rule shall have no force or effect.
