Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, named Beckwith Electric Company of Largo, FL as the U.S. Senate Small Business of the Week.

“Hello, I’m Senator Marco Rubio, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
“And today, it’s my honor to recognize Beckwith Electric Company of Largo, Florida as the Senate Small Business of the Week.
“In 1967, an inventor, Robert Beckwith, founded Beckwith Electric to provide specialized equipment for the electric utility industry.
“Today, this family-owned small business continues to lead in electric power transmission innovation, creating products for power systems around the world.
“Notably, Beckwith Electric designs and manufactures all their products at their facility in Largo, Florida.
“Their cutting-edge technology makes them an important part of our country’s critical infrastructure industrial base.
“Like many Floridian small businesses, Beckwith Electric was impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
“They applied for and and they received a Paycheck Protection Program Loan.
“As a result, they were able to keep all of their employees paid.
“So congratulations to the entire team at Beckwith Electric!
“I look forward to your continued success and industrial leadership.”
