Lugar Center Scorecard Highlights Rubio’s Bipartisan Record
Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio released a statement following the Lugar Center and the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University’s release of their Bipartisan Index rankings for 2021. Rubio’s ranking demonstrates his willingness to work across the aisle to deliver results for the people of Florida and the nation.
“Seeking to make life better for Floridians isn’t partisan, it’s just common sense,” Rubio said. “I will continue to work with both sides of the aisle to improve conditions for families and communities across Florida, while also ensuring America remains a safe and prosperous nation.”
Last year, the Center for Effective Lawmaking ranked Rubio as the most effective Republican senator. In January, Rubio released a report detailing his legislative accomplishments throughout 2021 and the landmark laws he wrote over the past five years, including the Paycheck Protection Program, VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act, Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, the expanded Child Tax Credit, and Everglades restoration.
Key 2021 highlights from the report:
- Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act
- Secure Equipment Act of 2021
- Reinforcing Nicaragua’s Adherence to Conditions for Electoral Reform (RENACER) Act
- A bill for the Seminole Tribe of Florida
