Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) released the following statement after the Trump Administration announced new sanctions against Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro:
 
“The sanctions imposed today on Nicolas Maduro are warranted. However, I remain confident the president will keep his clear commitment to impose economic sanctions on the regime if they convene the illegitimate Constituent Assembly.”
