Happy Easter
This Easter, my family and I join our fellow Christians in Florida and around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the salvation His sacrifice and unconditional love provides.
As we celebrate this holy day, I am reminded of the men and women in our armed forces whose service has taken them away from home during this special time. I give thanks for their sacrifice and pray that God protects and blesses them and their families this Easter.
For many Christians, the miracle of Easter offers hope and a spirit of renewal to all who seek inspiration to fulfill their individual promise. It is a fresh reminder of our dignity and worth as children of God.
This year, as fellow Christians around the world, especially those in the Middle East, face persecution and even genocide because of what they believe, I pray God would give them renewed strength and protect them in the face of unimaginable evil.
As we remember all that Christ endured and celebrate the gift of His salvation, we must also rededicate ourselves to the fight for religious freedom around the globe so that Christians in all parts of the world can practice their faith openly and without fear.
May you, your family, and our nation continue to be blessed with God’s gift of love and peace, especially on this special holiday.
Happy Easter.
