Washington, D.C. — Last night on The Story with Martha MacCallum, Fox News political analyst Juan Williams commended U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) for repeatedly calling for transparency from the Chinese government and reducing U.S. dependence on Chinese manufacturing. On the White House’s recent efforts to return pharmaceutical manufacturing to the U.S.:
“I want to cede credit here to Senator Marco Rubio, the Republican from Florida, who has been making this case for a long time — even to the point of encouraging parents to delete Tik Tok from their kids’ cell phones. The idea is that if you look at China in terms of the trade deal, stealing intellectual property, not respecting American regulations, extending also to their human rights records — specifically with the Uighurs — there’s a lot of American political anger at China. Especially over their lack of transparency with the coronavirus.”
