Ahead of the anniversary, Rubio introduced a bipartisan resolution highlighting the importance of continuing “to support policies that promote the respect for democratic principles, civil liberties, freedom and justice in Cuba, in a manner consistent with the aspirations of the Cuban people.”
This weekend, Rubio participated in a bilingual CNN special on the invasion. A transcript of Rubio’s comment is below:
Rubio: “The loudest voices in American politics that have been sympathetic towards the Castro regime, happen to be members of the Democratic Party. And I think that has harmed the Democratic Party. But I’ve always wanted, and continue to want [the topic of] Cuba to be a bipartisan issue. Senator Menendez is an example of that, we’ve worked very closely on this issue, this is something where we’re always looking for allies.”

RUBIO HONRA A MIEMBROS DE LA BRIGADA 2506 Y PARTICIPA EN ESPECIAL BILINGÜE DE CNN
Washington, D.C.
