Washington, D.C.– U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement condemning the simultaneous attacks by paramilitary forces against students and other civilians at the Church of Divine Mercy in Managua and residents of Masaya, Nicaragua: ‎

“Last night’s deadly attacks on students and journalists by paramilitary forces controlled by the Ortega regime leaves no doubt the path the regime has chosen. The individuals behind last night’s attacks will be held accountable and face justice. I support the efforts of the Catholic Church, civil society, student movements and the private sector to hold early elections in Nicaragua, supervised and monitored by the Organization of American States.”

 

RUBIO CONDENA LOS ATAQUES POR PARTE DE FUERZAS PARAMILITARES EN NICARAGUA

Washington, D.C.– El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió la siguiente declaración condenando los ataques simultáneos por parte de fuerzas paramilitares contra estudiantes y otros civiles en la Iglesia de la Divina Misericordia en Managua y residentes de Masaya, Nicaragua:

“Los ataques mortales de anoche a estudiantes y periodistas por parte de las fuerzas paramilitares controladas por el régimen de Ortega no dejan dudas sobre el camino elegido por el régimen. Los individuos detrás de los ataques de anoche tendrán que rendir cuentas y enfrentar la justicia. Apoyo los esfuerzos de la Iglesia Católica, la sociedad civil, los movimientos estudiantiles y el sector privado para realizar elecciones anticipadas en Nicaragua, supervisadas y monitoreadas por la Organización del Estados Americanos”.
