Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued a statement after the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a final rule regarding the Title X federal family planning program that will allow taxpayer dollars to go to Planned Parenthood. Rubio and colleagues previously sent a letter to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra urging him not to eliminate the Trump Administration’s 2019 Protect Life Rule.
“We should do everything we can do to protect the lives of unborn children,” Rubio said. “Thanks to President Biden, the door is now open for tens of millions of taxpayer dollars to be diverted towards Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry. Abortion is not family policy.”

Washington, D.C. — El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió un comunicado después que el Departamento de Salud y Servicios Humanos (HHS, por su siglas en inglés) emitiera una regla final sobre el Título X, un programa federal de planificación familiar que permitirá que dinero de los contribuyentes vayan a Planned Parenthood. Rubio y colegas, previamente le enviaron una carta al secretario de HHS, Xavier Becerra, instándolo a no eliminar la Regla de Protección de la Vida del 2019 de la administración Trump.
“Debemos hacer todo lo posible para proteger el derecho a la vida”, Rubio dijo. “Gracias al presidente Biden, la puerta ahora está abierta para que decenas de millones de dólares de los contribuyentes se desvíen hacia Planned Parenthood y la industria del aborto. El aborto no es una política familiar”.
