Cruz, Rubio Join Chorus Of Criticism Against FBI Over Decision To Clear Clinton

Senators Ted Cruz has joined other Republicans in criticizing the FBI for its decision that Hillary Clinton shouldn’t face criminal charges over her handling of classified emails in a private server.

In his own statement, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio kept his criticism focused on the presumptive Democratic nominee, saying the FBI’s decision highlights that Clinton’s conduct as Secretary of State and her mishandling of classified information was “disgraceful and unbecoming of someone who aspires to the presidency.”

“There is simply no excuse for Hillary Clinton’s decision to set up a home-cooked email system which left sensitive and classified national security information vulnerable to theft and exploitation by America’s enemies. Her actions were grossly negligent, damaged national security and put lives at risk,” he added.
