Washington, D.C. – Tomorrow, at approximately 12:15 pm EDT, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) will join the Jesse Helms Lecture series for a discussion with Heritage Foundation’s Executive Vice President Kim Holmes titled “Countering Authoritarianism and Advancing U.S. Interests in Latin America.”

This month, Rubio urged President Trump to denounce Castro’s successor as illegitimate and joined Ambassador Nikki Haley for a discussion with Hispanic and Latin American community leaders in Miami. Rubio also reiterated that the Venezuelan military could restore democracy in Venezuela. In January, Rubio warned of the dangers of normalizing relations with the Cuban regime.
