Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Acting Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, released the following statement after the Committee favorably reported out the nomination of Representative John L. Ratcliffe (R-TX) to serve as Director of National Intelligence (DNI):

“The DNI plays a crucial role in ensuring our nation’s wide array of intelligence agencies are sharing information across lines, coordinating capabilities, and all working to further the same strategic objectives of providing advanced warning, protecting our nation, and informing policymakers.
