Rubio Statement on Release of Josh Holt from El Helicoide

May 29, 2018 | Press Releases

Miami, FL– U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) released the following statement after American hostage Josh Holt was released from prison in Venezuela:

“I am very happy for Josh Holt, his wife and their family. He was an innocent hostage being held by the Maduro regime. As the administration made clear this evening, their release will in no way change U.S. policy towards the dictatorship in Venezuela. Until Maduro allows free and fair elections, he will continue facing punishing sanctions.”
