Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) released the following statement today after the U.S. Navy announced it would be assigning the initial homeport of USS St Louis (LCS 19) to Mayport Naval Station, effective November 30, 2018:
“A very special welcome to the USS St Louis (LCS 19) and her crew on being assigned to Mayport for the vessel’s initial homeport. Florida has a very long and proud history of support for our Navy’s ships and sailors, and we look forward to continuing that relationship.”
