Rubio Names Carroll Bradford Incorporated as Senate Small Business of the Week
Washington, D.C. – This week, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, named Carroll Bradford Incorporated, of Orlando, Florida, as the Senate Small Business of the Week.
Rubio released the following video message to congratulate Carroll Bradford Incorporated as the Small Business of the Week. A high-quality version of the video for download is available here.
“As the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, It’s my pleasure to honor Carroll Bradford Incorporated as Senate Small Business of the Week. Stephen Barnett and Jon Menke have grown Carroll Bradford into one of Florida’s top construction firms. Both families have called Central Florida home for generations, with both of their grandfathers owning small businesses in the region beginning in the 1940’s. In addition to their business success, Carroll Bradford supports their community by sponsoring various events, including annual holiday toy drives and by providing meals at the Ronald McDonald House in Orlando. The company also founded the CB foundation, which provides financial assistance to members of their community who are in need. Carroll Bradford is an outstanding example of how small businesses truly serve their communities, and I am proud to honor them as the Senate Small Business of the Week.”
Founded in 2010 by Central Florida natives Stephen Barnett and Jon Menke, Carroll Bradford, Inc. is a full-service construction and landscaping company. Brothers-in-law Stephen and Jon named the company in honor of their respective grandfathers, Carroll Barco and G.L. Bradford. Today, Carroll Bradford constructs many of the buildings and homes throughout the Orlando area and have been recognized repeatedly for their success in the industry. The company also is dedicated to serving their community. Carroll Bradford founded the CB Foundation, which provides financial assistance to local families in need and supports a number of community service initiatives, including: the Orlando Ronald McDonald House, local holiday toy drives, and the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Senator Rubio continues the tradition of honoring America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs. The Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship oversees proposed legislation on matters relating to the Small Business Administration and investigates all problems relating to America’s small businesses.
