Rubio Names Boyd Industries as the Senate Small Business of the Week
Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, named Boyd Industries of Clearwater, FL as the U.S. Senate Small Business of the Week.
Rubio released the following video message to congratulate Boyd Industries as the Senate Small Business of the Week. A broadcast quality version can be found here.
“Hello, I’m Senator Marco Rubio, I’m the Chairman of the Senate Small Business Committee. And today, I’m honoring Boyd Industries of Clearwater, Florida as the Senate Small Business of the week.
“For over sixty years, Boyd Industries has manufactured custom medical and dental furniture.
“They pioneered the lounge-style dentistry chair that’s now a standard feature in dental offices nationwide.
“Notably, Boyd Industries manufactures nearly all the components used to build their products at its factory in Clearwater, Florida.
“They produce high-quality products and support the United States medical manufacturing base.
“But like many of Florida’s small businesses, Boyd Industries was impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
“In April, Boyd Industries was approved for a Paycheck Protection Program Loan.
“And that allowed them to keep 77 employees paid and continue supporting their community during this crisis.
“So, congratulations to the entire team at Boyd Industries!
“I look forward to your continued success and service to your community.”
