Rubio Joins U.S. Jewish Community In Solidarity Shabbat For Israel

Oct 16, 2015 | Press Releases

Washington, D.C. U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today issued the following statement of support for the U.S. Jewish community, which will be holding a Solidarity Shabbat for Israel this Saturday:

“As Jewish communities across our nation prepare to stand in solidarity with Israel during a special Solidarity Shabbat this Saturday, I join in praying for an end to the recent attacks that have brought terror to the streets of Israel, and I pray that God protect our friends there and grant them the peace they seek.

“While Palestinians respond with more violence and a ‘Day of Rage,’ Israelis and the Jewish community here in the U.S. are joining together to pray for peace and an end to the violence as they mourn the victims of these horrific terrorist attacks. This is once again a reminder of why we must stand with our ally Israel and demand that President Abbas and the Palestinian Authority take all necessary measures to halt incitement and stop the violence.

“This Saturday, my family and I will join the American Jewish community and millions of other Americans to pray for peace in Israel and for the friends and families of the victims of these violent attacks.”
