Rubio Hosts Final Mobile Office Hours Of 2015, Surpassing 1000th Event Milestone
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) proudly announced an important milestone in his office’s constituent service program, as his Florida staff surpassed the 1,000th Mobile Office Hour event mark this week.
Rubio’s Mobile Office Hour program was established in 2011 with the goal of bringing his Florida staff to communities throughout the state. It was driven by the recognition that many constituents either cannot visit one of his regional offices, or are often unaware of the services available to them. For nearly five years, Rubio’s office has met with thousands of constituents in locations throughout the state, assisting them with federal issues ranging from Veteran Affairs (VA) benefits to Social Security and Medicare.
“Since I was elected five years ago, my top priority has been making sure Floridians in need of assistance receive the help they need, and our successful Mobile Office Hour program has helped make this a reality,” said Rubio. “Constituent service can sometimes make the difference between paying your bills on time, falling into debt, or even life and death, and I’m proud that we have had the best team in the country helping our fellow Floridians.”
In the coming days, Rubio will issue a report highlighting various stories that exemplify the work his constituent service team has done to assist Floridians over the past year and a half. A similar report was released in 2014 which highlighted the first three and a half years of Rubio’s constituent service program.
Although Senate rules prohibit additional Mobile Office Hour events after December 2, due to the proximity of elections, Rubio’s office will continue to offer its constituent services. Learn more at rubio.senate.gov or call Rubio’s office toll-free at 866-630-7106.
