Washington, D.C. — El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió el siguiente comunicado sobre el plan migratorio que el presidente electo Joseph Biden envío al Congreso.
“Antes de ocuparnos de temas migratorios, debemos lidiar con la pandemia del COVID-19, debemos asegurarnos que todos tengan la oportunidad de encontrar un buen trabajo y enfrentar la amenaza que representa China”, Rubio dijo. “EE.UU. siempre debería darle la bienvenida a los inmigrantes que quieran convertirse en americanos. Pero necesitamos leyes que decidan quién y cuántas personas pueden venir a este país, esas leyes deben ser seguidas y hacerse cumplir. Hay muchos problemas en los que creo podemos trabajar en cooperación con el presidente electo Biden, pero una amnistía generalizada para las personas que están aquí ilegalmente no va a ser uno de ellos”.
