English/Español: Rubio Condemns Maduro’s Unlawful Targeting of Venezuelan Interim President Guaidó

Apr 3, 2019 | Press Releases

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today released the following statement after dictator Nicolás Maduro’s illegitimate National Constituent Assembly unanimously voted to continue its prosecution process against Interim President Juan Guaidó and remove his parliamentary immunity:
“In another desperate effort to stop the Venezuelan people’s fight to restore democracy and constitutional order, dictator Nicolás Maduro yesterday had his illegitimate Constituent Assembly lay the groundwork for possible future aggression against Interim President Juan Guaidó. The United States and fifty-three other nations have recognized Guaidó’s legitimacy, and any move against the Interim President will be met with severe consequences.”

Washington, D.C.
