Rubio, Bicameral Colleagues Introduce Resolution Commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month

Currently, Latinos account for 18.5 percent of the U.S. population and are projected to grow to 107 million people by 2065. Hispanic-Americans contribute more than $2.6 trillion to the United States economy, more than the GDP of all but the top 17 nations in the world.
 
U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL), Bob Menendez (D-NJ), and John Cornyn (R-TX) introduced a resolution recognizing September 15 through October 15, 2022 as Hispanic Heritage Month. The resolution celebrates the heritage, culture, and immense contributions of Hispanic-Americans to our nation.
 
Congressman Tony Cárdenas (D-CA) introduced companion legislation in the U.S House of Representatives.
