Rubio Applauds TSA Extension for Displaced Hurricane Maria Victims
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) released the following statement today after the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved an extension of Transitional Sheltering Assistance (TSA) for displaced victims of Hurricane Maria:
“FEMA’s approval of a TSA extension for displaced survivors of Hurricane Maria is welcomed news. TSA was a critical short-term housing solution that allowed many families to recover in Florida after Hurricane Maria. Now that FEMA has announced that this will be the last TSA extension, it is vital that FEMA and HUD work on long-term housing solutions for the displaced Puerto Ricans as I have urged on numerous occasions.”
Rubio previously called for TSA extensions for Hurricane Maria victims in April and January.
Washington, D.C.
