Rubio Announces Appropriations Subcommittee Assignments for the 115th Congress
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, today announced he will serve on the following five appropriations subcommittees in the 115th Congress.
- Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies
- Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies
- Legislative Branch
- Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies
- State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs
In making this announcement, Rubio issued the following statement:
“My role on the Appropriations Committee will give me the opportunity to influence all aspects of the federal budget, and I am excited to be named to these five important subcommittees,” said Rubio. “These assignments will better position my office to serve Floridians even more effectively, particularly as it relates to our state’s military bases, rebuilding our national defense, serving our veterans, safeguarding our nation’s food supply, and advancing our foreign policy interests around the world. With a multitude of diverse but critical issues facing the people of Florida, today’s announcement is another step forward in delivering results on their behalf.”
