Washington, D.C. – This week, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio’s staff will be co-hosting fraud prevention workshops throughout Florida, in partnership with the Federal Trade Commission. Topics to be discussed include, identity theft and telemarketing; medical discount plans; charities and fundraising fraud; credit and loan offers; sweepstakes and lotteries; government grant scams and travel scams.
“The ‘Being Scam Smart’ series will help further educate Floridians on how to protect their money and identity from fraud,” said Rubio. “I encourage constituents to take advantage of the many ways my staff can help them both in Florida and during their visits to Washington.”
