Three Rubio Bills Signed Into Law
Dec 30 2022
Three bills authored by U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) became law as part of the omnibus appropriations bill for Fiscal Year 2023.
- CRACK Act: This new law will prohibit federal funding from being used to purchase pipes for illegal drugs that can exacerbate substance use disorders.
- Free Veterans from Fees Act: This new law will allow veterans to hold special events at Washington, D.C. war memorials without fees.
- Accelerating Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act: This new law, co-led with Senator John Kennedy (R-LA), strengthens Rubio's and Kennedy's Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act by reducing the period of time needed to trigger a trading ban of securities of foreign companies that refuse to open their books to U.S. auditors.
