Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) released the following statement after voting to confirm Eugene Scalia to be Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor:

“Mr. Scalia’s decades of legal experience, including arguing cases before the Supreme Court of the United States and his extensive knowledge of our nation’s laws and regulatory system will serve him well as the next Secretary of Labor,” Rubio said. “There is an important debate happening in Congress about how to ensure future generations of Americans have opportunities for dignified work, and I look forward to engaging with Mr. Scalia in his new role on this, and many other important issues.”
