Mobile Office Hours
Since he was elected to serve in Congress in November 2010, Senator Rubio’s biggest priority has been to ensure that he and his staff are available to help constituents with whatever federal assistance they may need. In addition to phone and email services, he opened eight offices throughout the state of Florida to ensure that constituents who wish to see us in person can do so. However, Senator Rubio knows that not everyone has the means to drive to our office locations, which is why he has a “Mobile Office Hours” program, which has brought our office to every county of our state.
“One of my highest priorities is ensuring that my staff and I are available to help Floridians with whatever federal assistance they may need,” Senator Marco Rubio said. “Regardless of how tense or partisan the legislative process becomes in Washington, the dedication of our constituent services team is humbling.”
The Congressional Management Foundation (CMF) recognized Senator Rubio as a national leader in constituent services and a winner for the 2019 Democracy Awards. CMF’s honors program recognizes non-legislative achievement in operations and constituent service by congressional offices and Members of Congress.
In 2019, Senator Rubio’s team helped nearly 9,000 Floridians with a wide range of issues involving federal government services and benefits, including Social Security, Veterans Affairs, IRS tax issues, Medicare, and visa issues, among many others. Nearly 3,700 of those came through mobile office hours — a 428 percent increase from 2018.
