Fighting for Florida

Today, I met with Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan, Mexico's Ambassador to the United States. Mexico is not just our neighbor, but an important friend and ally in dealing with a wide range of bilateral and hemispheric issues. Today's meeting was a good opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities we face. It was especially timely as Mexico moves closer to its next presidential election in which we look forward to seeing Mexico continuing on its democratic path.
Marco’s staff will be hosting “Mobile Office Hours” to meet with constituents and assist them with federal issues in their own communities. For constituents who can’t visit the regional offices, these “Mobile Office Hours” offer a more convenient way to seek federal casework assistance.  All times listed below are local:

Earlier this week, Senator Rubio introduced S.2115, the State Waters Partnership Act of 2012, a bill that would force the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to adopt Florida's science-based Numeric Nutrient Criteria on water quality regulation.

Senator Rubio also co-sponsored the following bill, joint resolution, and amendment:
On Wednesday, Senator Rubio sponsored four amendments and co-sponsored two amendments to legislation reauthorizing our nation’s transportation programs (or "to the transportation bill" or "to MAP-21, the transportation bill").
Senator Rubio joined with six of his colleagues as a co-sponsor of S.AMDT.1555, The Earmark Elimination Act of 2011.
