PHOTOS: Rubio Talks to Pensacola Families about Real-Life Benefits of the Child Tax Credit
Pensacola, FL – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today held a roundtable at Imagination Station to discuss how the enhanced child tax credit is helping Pensacola families.
Since 2014, Rubio has pushed for an enhanced child tax credit to help working and middle-class American families. Standing up to his own party’s leadership during tax reform, Rubio won provisions in the tax bill that doubled the per-child tax credit to $2,000 and increased the refundable portion of the credit to $1,400, which will increase with inflation each year until the full $2,000 applies per child. Rubio’s efforts help more than 90 million families.
“It was great to hear from Pensacola families today on how the enhanced child tax credit will help them with the important job of raising children,” said Rubio. “By being able to keep more of their hard-earned money, parents are already seeing the benefits of tax reform. Today’s roundtable reaffirms that the enhanced child tax credit is a win for middle-class and working families.”
