English & Español: Rubio Travels to Peru to Meet with Heads of State and Democracy Activists at Summit of the Americas
Miami, FL – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will travel to Lima, Peru to meet with leaders of the region and pro-democracy activists surrounding the 8th Summit of the Americas.
Last week Rubio, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, convened a hearing titled “A Regional Strategy for Democratic Governance Against Corruption in the Hemisphere” ahead of the Summit of the Americas. Rubio has worked closely with the Administration on U.S. policy toward Latin America, especially in Cuba and Venezuela.

Miami, FL – El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL), miembro del Comité de Relaciones Exteriores del Senado, viajará a Lima, Perú, para reunirse con líderes de la región y activistas pro-democráticos en torno a la VIII Cumbre de las Américas.
La semana pasada, Rubio convocó una audiencia titulada “Una Estrategia Regional para la Gobernabilidad Democrática Contra la Corrupción en el Hemisferio” antes de la Cumbre de las Américas. Rubio ha trabajado estrechamente con la administración en la política de los Estados Unidos hacia América Latina, en especial sobre Cuba y Venezuela.
