MEDIA ADVISORY: Rubio To Highlight Importance Of Pro-Innovation Policies At Opening Of AmerisourceBergen Distribution Center In Orlando

Nov 13, 2014 | Press Releases

Washington, D.C. – Tomorrow, November 14, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) will attend a press conference for the opening of AmerisourceBergen Distribution Center in Orlando. Given the facility’s high tech automation, Rubio will discuss the importance of economic growth and reforming higher education to address the necessary skill sets required for jobs in the 21st century.

Earlier this year, Rubio announced a series of policies to promote job creation through American innovation, as well as higher education reforms to prepare American workers for technology-intensive jobs like those at this Orlando facility.

As part of his visit, Rubio will meet with President and CEO of AmerisourceBergen Steve Collis, and tour the offices and distribution facility.

Media wishing to attend the following event must RSVP to Brooke_Sammon@rubio.senate.gov.
