Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today issued the following statement regarding his vote in favor of repealing ObamaCare and praising the Senate’s passage last night of an amendment to repeal the medical device tax created in ObamaCare, a measure he also backed:
“One of the first votes I took when I arrived in Washington was to repeal ObamaCare, and today I voted again for its repeal because I firmly believe we need to get rid of this disastrous law. Leaving it in place will only leave job creators with uncertainty, patients with fewer health care options, and taxpayers with explosive taxes and costs.
“While ObamaCare’s full repeal remains our ultimate goal, last night I was encouraged that even most Democrats agreed that we should dismantle part of this job-killing law by repealing its tax on medical devices.
