Miami, FL – El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL) emitió el siguiente comunicado después que el Departamento de Estado de los Estados Unidos actualizó la lista restringida de Cuba e impuso sanciones de prohibición de visa, en conformidad a la Sección 7031(c) del Acta del Año Fiscal 2019 del Departamento de Estado, Operaciones Extranjeras y Programas Relacionados, contra Julio César Gandarilla Bermejo, el ministro ilegítimo del Ministerio del Interior de Cuba (MININT):
“La decisión de la administración de Trump de añadir a cinco entidades más, que pertenecen a GAESA, a la lista restringida y la decisión de sancionar al ministro ilegítimo del Ministerio del Interior es otra medida de ejercer la máxima presión contra empresas y secuaces del régimen que se benefician a costa de la represión y violación de los derechos humanos en Cuba. Mientras miembros del régimen cubano continúen a reprimiendo a ciudadanos cubanos y venezolanos, tenemos el deber moral de responsabilizar a los culpables.”
