Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) released a statement after he was recognized by the Hispanic Council in its latest edition of “Spanish in U.S. Politics.” The report measures how U.S. lawmakers use Spanish to communicate with their constituents.
“Florida is incredibly diverse, but families across my home state have the same concerns regardless of language,” Rubio said. “I hope the Hispanic Council’s report encourages others in Congress to increase their communication with Hispanics in our nation.”
“Marco Rubio is one of the senators who uses Spanish the most in his communication with voters in the Senate. From The Hispanic Council, we deeply appreciate his contribution to the dissemination of Hispanic cultural heritage in the U.S., where Spanish language plays an important role,” said Daniel Ureña, President of The Hispanic Council.
