Miami, FL- U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement commemorating the forty-one victims of the ’13th of March’ Tugboat Massacre by the Castro dictatorship:
“I join the Cuban-American exile community in honoring the 41 lives lost during the ’13th of March’ Tugboat Massacre by the Castro brothers. Today, 25 years after that horrific attack, the victims’ memories serve as a reminder of valor and sacrifice as they were senselessly murdered fleeing the horrors of socialism and in search of freedom.”
Rubio is the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights, and Global Women’s Issues.
