Orlando, FL — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), former Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and author of the historic Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), visited El Cilantrillo Restaurant in Central Florida. Rubio met with the restaurant’s owners and employees to discuss the high price of food products, staff shortages, and the importance of the PPP loan they received.
PPP provided an important lifeline for Hispanic-owned small businesses, including El Cilantrillo, which was able to retain its 62 employees. Overall, the program supported more than 6.1 million jobs in Florida and pumped $50 billion into the local economy.
Orlando, FL — El senador estadounidense Marco Rubio (R-FL), ex-presidente del Comité de Pequeñas Empresas y Emprendimiento en el senado de EE. UU. y autor del histórico Programa de Protección de Pago de Cheques (PPP, por sus siglas en inglés) visitó el restaurante El Cilantrillo en la Florida Central. Rubio se reunió con los dueños del negocio y con los empleados del restaurante donde hablaron sobre los altos precios de los productos alimenticios, la falta de personal y la importancia del préstamo que recibieron por parte del gobierno federal.
El PPP proporcionó un importante salvavidas financiero para pequeños negocios, incluyendo El Cilantrillo, el cual pudo retener a sus 62 empleados. En general, el programa apoyó a más de 6.1 millones de empleos en la Florida e inyectó $50 mil millones de dólares en la economía local.
