The President’s new health care law will drive costs up, bankrupt the country and create bureaucratic red tape when it comes to everyday health care decisions. Lowering health care costs is essential to growing our economy and creating jobs in our country.

Building on his record in the Florida House of Representatives, Senator Rubio believes there are simple ideas that Washington should pursue in order to improve education in America and prepare our children for the jobs of tomorrow.

Floridians are concerned about the out-of-control spending in Washington that is piling up debt. Today, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says the “federal budget is on an unsustainable path.” Right now, forty cents of every dollar the federal government spends is being borrowed from future generations. This is unacceptable and a $14 trillion debt is unsustainable. We need a government that stops spending more money than it takes in.

Floridians are concerned about the direction Washington is taking our country by piling up debt, pushing for increased taxes and advocating anti-growth policies that will harm our economy. Floridians want a government that makes it easier for employers to create jobs, and provides certainty in its tax policies. It is high time to cut spending and take on our debt crisis in order to ensure a pro-growth economic environment.

The brave men and women who serve in our military should never have to wonder if citizens of the United States appreciate their service and sacrifice. Senator Rubio will focus on serving our veterans to ensure they receive the benefits they need, keeping all promises made to servicemen and women while demanding accountability and efficiency, and guaranteeing veterans a bright future after completing duty.

Florida is home to millions of seniors – brave men and women, many of whom fought to protect our country and its values when those values were most threatened. It is our obligation to ensure that those men and women are cared for, but more importantly, it is our responsibility to stop the individuals who prey on seniors and bring them to justice. Senator Rubio will focus on three goals: protect seniors from fraud and changes to benefits, repeal and replace ObamaCare, and put an end to taxes that threaten their financial security.
